A one-day meeting aimed at familiarizing the listener with the specifics of working with overlay orthodontic treatment systems. Individual parts of the course discuss the stages of working with a patient, treatment cases and equally important non-clinical aspects.
Introductory part
1. Orthero as an example of a digital orthodontic system.
2. Classifying patients for treatment.
• Proposed ranges of shifts in individual malocclusions.
• Clinical problems requiring special care.
3. Biomechanics of overlay braces – strengths and weaknesses of aligners
Detailed part – Diagnostics
1. From photography to occlusion registration: Clinical diagnostics in the Orthero system.
2. Outsourcing in orthodontics – details of cooperation with Orthero.
3. Independent planning of tooth movements in the Orthero Planner program
Detailed part – Clinical work
1. Enamel reduction – how to plan safe stripping.
2. Gluing attachments – how to properly “mount attachments”.
3. The first aligner, i.e. the beginning of cooperation with the patient.
4. Treatment visits through to dismantling and retention.
