SYLLABUS
Theoretical part:
Diagnostics and planning of the location of an orthodontic mini-implant in terms of both anatomical possibilities and orthodontic biomechanics needs
Preparing the office, instruments and patient for the procedure
A step-by-step diagram of the procedure, including various locations
Pitfalls and complications – are they really serious and how to deal with them?
Discussion of the basic possibilities of activation in various locations, both in terms of the advantages and disadvantages of given solutions
Questions from course participants
Practical part:
Performing procedures for introducing OrthoEasy orthodontic mini-implants on an animal bone model by each course participant
Comparison of manual and machine implantation on an animal bone model by course participants
Clinical part:
Discussion of the treatment plan
Participation in the patient’s insertion of the OrthoEasy orthodontic mini-implant (depending on the treatment plan)
Students will learn:
Qualification, diagnosis and treatment planning of patients for the use of TAD skeletal anchorage
Preparing the office, instruments and patient for implantation
How to efficiently perform the procedure in different locations and using different techniques
Thanks to exercises on animal bone models, students will learn to recognize the proper bone resistance that occurs during the TAD insertion procedure.
How to avoid complications and how to deal with them if they occur
How and when to load an orthodontic mini-implant
TAD Removal
In the initial period of professional training – from dental studies, through doctoral studies and specialization in the field of dental surgery – associated with the Medical and Dental Department in Zabrze of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. There she conducted both lectures and practical classes for dental students. Her doctoral dissertation, covering issues in the field of dental surgery, radiology and orthodontics, was awarded a distinction by the Faculty Council of this university. She continued her professional education by completing specialization training in orthodontics under the supervision of high-class specialists.
He has made numerous speeches during national and international congresses. She is co-author of several scientific publications.
He is a member of PTO, PTS and PTCHSiST. Her clinical interests include, in particular, cases requiring interdisciplinary treatment and surgical-orthodontic cooperation (including removal of impacted teeth, teeth with dilaceration, TAD). Almost from the beginning of his practice, he has been using skeletal anchorage using orthodontic mini-implants. Since 2013, he has been the owner of the Trident private practice in Katowice, where he provides comprehensive care to patients in the field of orthodontics, dental surgery and implantology. The practical experience gained during numerous surgical procedures gives her excellent knowledge of anatomy and bone conditions, enabling efficient planning of orthodontic mini-implant insertion procedures, taking into account orthodontic biomechanics.
