    Dr Giorgio Iodice uzyskał dyplom stomatologa, specjalizację z dziedziny ortodoncji i doktorat na Uniwersytecie “Federico II” w Neapolu. Otrzymał certyfikat doskonałości w ortodoncji we Włoszech od Italian Board of Orthodnotics (IBO) i European Board of Orthodontics. Od 2013 roku jest członkiem komisji egzaminacyjnej Italian Board of Orthodontics.
    Pracuje jako Profesor Kliniczny na Uniwersytecie w Neapolu, jest aktywnym członkiem wielu organizacji ortodontycznych min.: Sido, EOS, SIBOS, AIDOr i SIDA. Jego główne zainteresowania kliniczne i badania skupiają się na leczeniu dorosłych pacjentów, zastosowaniu miniimplantów ortodontycznych (TADS), relacjach zgryzowych i zaburzeniach skroniowo-żuchwowych. Współpracuje z czasopismami krajowymi i zagranicznymi, jest autorem licznych publikacji oraz wykładowcą na wielu kongresach i sympozjach.

Skeletal anchorage in Orthodontics: Chairside Course

Course Abstract 
The aim of this course is to give to the participant the possibility to work with dr. lodice chairside. The small number of participants (onlyfor six orthodontists) and the presence of live patients in office will give to the participants the opportunity to fee/ the real orthodontic practice and its c/inical management. Patients in different phases of therapy will be viewed projected live on a video screen, giving to the participant the feeling to be directly at the chair. Furthermore, the trainees, under the guidance of Dr. lodice, will have the opportunity to /earn theoretical sessions and cli nica/ advice on the use of skeletal anchorage in orthodontics, with its severa/ applications, advantages and limits. 
The introduction of mini screws and temporary skeletal anchoring systems (TADs) in orthodontics resulted in a revolution, modifying and simplifying the management of the anchor, one of the foca/ points of orthodontic treatment. The use of the pa lata/ skeletal anchor offers c/inicians new opportunities, with the possibility of developing various devices,for the most varied orthodontic purposes. The course aims to introduce the c/inicians into the fascinating world of palatal skeletal anchorage, guiding the in the choice of the appropriate site and related insertion protoco/s. All the c/inical phases and the components necessary for the development of orthodontic devices with palatal skeletal anchoring will be analyzed in detail. Severa/ c/inical cases will be analyzed illustrating the most varied orthodontic possibiltties related to this innovative method.

CLINICAL PART

Participants will be a ble to assist directly on screen the c/inical management of different patients in various stages of treatment. They will be a ble to assist directly to the use of insertion guide, TADs insertion in the palatal vault and orthodontic appliances installation and management.
