BioPassive®

The BioPassive® lock is the passive version of the BioQuick® active lock. The lock slot is set much lower and is therefore larger. This provides greater clarity to the arc and friction in the slot is significantly reduced. Combined with the flexible clip, this allows for effective progression of therapy in the initial phase of treatment – using the gentlest forces. The BioQuick® bracket base is identical to the BioPassive® bracket and has a precisely fitted, anatomically contoured base. They were developed on the basis of an extensive study in which approximately 4,000 teeth from around the world were observed using 3D laser scanning techniques and their natural curvature was examined. The result is noteworthy – the locks can be positioned precisely and safely. From the outside, BioPassive® brackets differ from BioQuick® brackets by a vertical marking on the middle wing of the ligature.
