For a perfect fit
Retraction and torque arches (according to Prof. Dr. Franz Günter Sander) are used to physically retract the front teeth and properly adjust the torque in the front part of the dentition. A super flexible torqued perpendicular arch for the front section is pleated to a perpendicular steel arch for the rear section. The ends of the stainless steel segments act as retraction arms at the same time. These retraction arms have been shaped to – according to clinical requirements – form small individual hooks to which super-elastic springs are attached. This subjects the dental arch to constant forces, resulting in retraction of approximately 1.5 mm per month.
Advantages:
Reliable retraction and torque execution thanks to constant retraction forces.
