BioCosmetic archwires are the first tooth-colored archwires that remain permanently white and thus enable long-lasting invisible treatment. They also provide maximum comfort inside the oral cavity for the patient, which is due to the fact that the super-flexible NiTi archwires are covered with a white layer. These archwires provide gentle forces and rapid healing with extremely low force levels. The time needed to replace a BioCosmetic archwire is the same as for uncoated archwires. Even the use of self-ligating brackets, which usually allow longer breaks between archwire replacements, is not a problem for BioCosmetic archwires. Their tooth-colored covering remains intact – ensuring perfect aesthetics. Regardless of whether the bracket slot is made of metal or ceramic, BioCosmetic archwires maintain their white coverage without any problem for six to eight weeks. However, BioCosmetic archwires should not be altered or bent as sharp objects may damage their white coating.
