Unlike conventional archwires (e.g. made of stainless steel), Titanol® Superelastic archwires are extremely flexible. Thanks to this, the super-elastic arch returns to its original shape like a spring (shape memory effect), regardless of how much it is deformed during treatment. Thanks to the high internal tension of Titanol® Superelastic archwires, the force can be applied at a relatively constant level, which allows for gentle movements on the teeth and periodontium during bone remodeling.
